The SFT Edgar Pye 2025 Scholarship is now open for submissions.

A summary of the application rules can be found below;

The Rules:
1. Closing date for submission – 31st October 2025. Applications should be sent to secretary@sft.uk.com
2. Applications should be typewritten, double-spaced, not exceeding 5000 words and single sided on A4
paper.
3. The proposed research must be within the broad subject areas of farm animal feeding including animal
nutrition, management, welfare, feed production and marketing. Please ask if uncertain.
4. The project must be fully described, the objects set out clearly, a budget of costs provided and a
timetable for the project’s completion and the submission of a draft paper.
5. Applications will be considered by a panel of judges appointed by the Trustees of the Edgar Pye
Research Scholarship Trust.
6. The amount awarded to a successful applicant will be at the discretion of the judges.
7. More than one applicant may receive an award at the discretion of the judges.
8. The decision of the judges is final.
9. Those awarded a scholarship will be required to present the scholarship research project at an SFT
conference within 18 months of the award or at a time agreed with the Trustees. Travel expenses to the
conference will be reimbursed.
10. Those to be awarded a scholarship will be informed by 30th November 2025 and the award paid
shortly afterwards.
